Zombie Lovers
Gizem Karaali
Gizem Karaali is professor of mathematics at Pomona College, a Project NExT fellow, a chocoholic, and a mom. She finds Star Trek, Doctor Who, and The Orville to be great sources of metaphor and allegory for our times. She has been thinking about what it means to be human as opposed to a zombie for way too long.
Kamden Baer
Kamden Baer is a Pomona College graduate and aspiring data virtuoso. He enjoys pondering the limits of data-driven insights, intuition, and contextualization. He spends his free time playing volleyball and tennis and reading murder mysteries, so zombies beware!
Oscar Scholin
Oscar Scholin is a physics and math graduate of Pomona College, a MPhil student in theoretical physics at Cambridge University, and a Machine Learning Engineer at Dasion (Data-To-Decision). He is particularly interested in combining quantum physics and algorithms, particularly machine learning, both theoretically and in physical systems. He also enjoys Japanese fiction and going on long hikes.
Chad R.I.P. (Guest Author)
Professor Chad R.I.P., a pioneering half-zombie, half-AI scientist, leads the forefront of integrating advanced artificial intelligence with mathematical research. At the cutting edge of technology and the undead, he develops innovative AI algorithms that revolutionize the understanding and application of complex mathematics. His work, based at the intersection of the digital and the supernatural, is shaping the future of AI-driven mathematical discoveries, blurring the lines between the living, the undead, and the artificial.
